Kolkata Environmental Improvement Project (KEIP) is a multi-agency endeavour to arrest environmental degradation and improve the quality of life in Kolkata. Its work is mainly in the outer areas of the city where the sewerage and drainage infrastructure is grossly inadequate and the drainage canals are choked by silt.

KEIP’s  objectives  are  to  reduce  pollution

by providing affordable access to basic urban services in slums, revamp and up grade the sewerage and drainage system, make solid waste management system efficient,restore the city's drainage canals , and improve outdoor recreation facilities in parks and water bodies. It also has a capacity building component to raise the standards of KMC’s delivery of municipal services.

Notice for Inviting Expression of Interest (EOI) for Public Relation Consulting
Services for the Kolkata Environmental Improvement Project (KEIP)
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) intends to engage a Public Relation Consultants (PRC) for Kolkata Environmental Improvement Project (KEIP). KMC has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the project and it intends to apply a part of the proceeds of this fund to make eligible payments under the contract for which proposals are invited.
The objectives of engaging a PRC are -

i) Professional media management and
ii) Stakeholder consultative process,

to address delicate issues covering all components of the project.

KMC invites EOI from experienced and reputed consultancy firms having office in Kolkata for the above assignment.

The EOI shall be supported with the following information: 1) company profile, 2) the company’s annual financial turnover over the past three years, 3) the number of permanent professional staff, and 4) summaries of projects or assignments carried out over the past ten years stating: i) the type of assignment (such as public relations / public awareness building, stakeholder consultations), ii) the target groups (such as urban residents, specific interest groups), iii) the client, iv) the monetary value v) the duration and vi) the year of the assignment.

Last date of submission of the EOI is 2nd June 2008, 4pm at the office of the Project Director, KEIP.
