India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Kolkata Environmental Improvement Project (Supplementary Loan). Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. The eligibility rules and procedures of ADB will govern the prequalification and the bidding process.
The Project Director, PMU, KEIP, on behalf of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, intends to prequalify firms for the above contract.
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Project Director, PMU, KEIP, and inspect the Prequalification Document at the address given below, from 11 a.m. (Indian standard time) to 4 p.m. (Indian standard time) from 05 November 2007.
The Prequalification Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Rs10,000 or US$250. The document will be sent by courier for an additional fee of Rs 2,500 for delivery within India, or Rs 6,000 or US$150 for delivery outside India. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. The fees shall be paid in form of demand draft favoring the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, payable at Kolkata.
Prequalification Applications must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:30 P.M. (Indian standard time) on 19 January 2008 (Extended Date). The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject late Prequalification Applications.
