India has received a Loan (Supplementary Loan) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Kolkata Environmental Improvement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation ( The Employer) represented by Project Director, Project Management Unit, KEIP, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Creation of Green Belts along T.P, Monikhali and Churial Canals and the principal quantities involved in the work package, but not limited to, are :

pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5000.00 by way of demand draft favouring Kolkata Municipal Corporation, payable at Kolkata. The document will be sent by courier, if requested, for an additional fee of Rs. 500.00 (payable by demand draft) within India.
Bidders should satisfy the following qualification requirement and must demonstrate that :

The bidder has valid PAN No. / Income Tax clearance certificate & Sales Tax clearance certificate

The bidder has valid Trade License

The bidder has an annual turnover of Rs 3,000,000.00 at an average over the last 3 years and a cash flow capacity of Rs 500,000.00

The bidder shall have credential for plantation / landscaping work amounting to Rs. 1,000,000.00 per year at an average in the last three years. In addition, the bidder must prove his credential for maintaining such plantations for at least two years. The bidder shall note that only supply of saplings by arranging them from other plantations / nursery shall not be considered as valid experience.

The bidder must establish his experience of supplying and planting 2000 nos of plants in a year within the last 5 years.
A Pre bid meeting will be held in the office of the Project Director, KEIP at 11.00 A.M. (IST) on 05.09.2008. Bidders are encouraged to participate in this meeting and it is desirable that bid document is studied thoroughly by the bidder before this meeting. Project Director KEIP will arrange site inspection on 04.09.2008. Bidders are advised to send their representative(s) to KEIP office at the address given above at 10:30 A.M. (IST) on the said date and proceed to site with PMU Engineers.
