4.To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should :
- write to address above requesting the bidding documents for Construction of Pumping Station of Combined Flow (DWF & SWF) at Padirhati
- pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5000.00 by way of demand draft favouring Kolkata Municipal Corporation, payable at Kolkata. The document will be sent by courier for an additional fee of Rs. 500.00 within India.
5. Bidders should satisfy the following qualification requirement and must demonstrate that :
- the bidder’s net worth is positive
- Minimum average annual construction turnover of Rs 165,000,000.00 calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 3 (Three) years.
- The Bidder must demonstrate access to, or availability of, financial resources such as liquid assets, unencumbered real assets, lines of credit, and other financial means, other than any contractual advance payments to meet the overall cash flow requirement: of Rs 25,200,000.00.
- Experience under construction contracts in the role of Contractor / Subcontractor or Joint venture partner for at least the last 10 (Ten) years prior to the applications submission deadline in the field of pumping station works.
- Participation as Contractor / Subcontractor or Joint Venture partner in at least 2 (two) contracts within the last 10 years, each with a value of at least INR 90,000,000.00 that have been successfully or are substantially completed (80 %) and that are similar to the proposed works.
A bidder having experience in executing civil works only in the field of construction of S & D works shall have to form a joint venture for supplying and executing electromechanical equipment / components of the works of pumping station and sub-station work. The same must be supported by credentials and performance certificates from clients/end-users for supplying and executing works in the field of electromechanical works, fulfilling the qualifying requirements of the bid.
The manufacturer of the SWF pumping sets must have supplied column mounted submersible pumpsets of similar duties (minimum 1.43 m3/sec ) for at least 10(ten) installations (must be supported by the performance certificate from at least 3(three) of previous purchasers) in the last 10 years
The manufacturer of the DWF pumping sets must have supplied 50 nos of non-clog submersible sewage pumping sets of 400 m3/hr capacity & above (must be supported by the performance certificate from at least 30% of previous purchasers) in the last 10 years

A Pre bid meeting will be held in the office of the Project Director, KEIP at 11.00 A.M. (IST) on 14.09.2010 Bidders are encouraged to participate in this meeting and it is desirable that bid document is studied thoroughly before this meeting. Project Director KEIP will arrange site inspection on 13.09.2010. Bidders are advised to send their representative(s) to KEIP office at the address above at 10:30 A.M. (IST) and proceed to site with PMU Engineers. |
